Speaking to a group of Innovation Stakeholders at the Afrivate Launch last Thursday, It struck me how easy it is to simplify complex challenges like innovating in the downturn, just because it then becomes easier to understand and communicate to others. This is especially true when we educate students in an academic environment.
However, real life is invariably more complex. Paul Esselaar provided an overview of where in the small enterprise the legal professional can contribute to improving and innovating business processes.
Similar practical contributions of the Industrial Engineer, the ICT Professional, the Operations Manager and a vast number of other specialist could be cited.
It is however only when all of these inputs are exploited in concert which needs to be deployed through three life cycles i.e.
1) Innovation Fitness Life Cycle
2) Innovation Implementation Life Cycle
3) Enterprise Operations Life Cycle
that innovative competitiveness is consistently achieved.
